Supplement Facts

Indications

  • Support for a healthy digestive system.

Key Product Features

  • NatoGestive is a well balanced digestive enzyme dietary supplement.
  • Supplementing the often missing digestive enzymes - especially in the elderly.
  • Contains the major digestive enzymes - amylase, cellulase, lactase, lipase and natural protease to help digest and absorb foods.

Product Description

Digestive enzymes are involved in the digestion of food in order to be absorbed.

A large proportion of the population – especially the elderly – are frequently deficient of digestive enzymes.

The action of the enzymes is temperature and pH dependent.
The important digestive enzymes are divided generally into three classes namely: proteolytic enzymes, which digest proteins, the amylases which are required for the digestion of carbohydrate and the lipases needed for the digestion of fats.

In some malabsorption situations a specific deficiency of certain proteolytic enzymes may be the underlying cause. This may be managed with the administration pancreatic enzymes, such as Pancreatin, Papain.

Proteolytic enzymes e.g. pancreatic enzymes, aid the digestion of protein but invariably destroy lipases, which are essential for the digestion of fats. For this reason, it may be advisable to separate the ingestion of the two different classes of digestive enzymes.

Directions

It is advisable to take one Tablet with or after the morning and evening meal, or as recommended by a qualified Healthcare Provider.
